Change your Membership

We believe that our memberships should be flexible to suit you and your family’s needs. That’s why we want to make it simple to make the changes you want. Want to add your partner, a golf top-up or a child top-up? To upgrade your membership you may be required to pay the difference in the membership. To upgrade to a Couples membership there may also be a joining fee for the new person. If you wish to change your membership please complete and submit the form below.

Freeze your Membership

We aim to support you through unforeseen circumstances which can prevent you from using our venues, products and services. This could be through changes in individual/family circumstances, injury and ill health. Under these circumstances you can request to freeze your membership for a period of time. Your membership will revert to a pay per visit membership, allowing you to access all our venues, products and services when you want. Please complete and submit the form below.

Cancel your Membership

We value all our members and aim to provide excellent value for money. If for any reason you wish to cancel your membership we will support you through this process and make it as simple as possible. We want our members to return, so we offer all members who leave us a year’s No Joining Fee on your return, so keep posted for our special offers and developments. K:A Leisure Learn to Swim Programme - 1:1 and 1:2 lessons

Dear Customer

Thank you for your application form in respect of the above. Your application has been placed on a waiting list, which is dealt with in order of date received. Once a lesson slot becomes available at your preferred centre, we will contact you by telephone to advise you of this.

The Customer Procedures for 1:1 and 1:2 swimming lesson programme are detailed below for your information.

If you require any further information, please contact your preferred centre.

Thank you for your interest in K:A Leisure's Learn to Swim Programme.

Gillian Mitchell
Sports Development Officer (Aquatics)

CUSTOMER INFORMATION FOR 1:1 OR 1:2 SWIMMING LESSONS

  1. Your time slot is assigned to you until you transfer into the group lesson programme or another part of the aquatics programme, or decide to stop private lessons. Should a situation arise where either you or your instructor are unable to continue at the time allocated, K:A Leisure will either seek to transfer you to a new slot (which may require you to be placed on a waiting list) or allocate a new instructor to you in your existing time slot.
  2. On arrival at your centre for your lesson, please report to Reception. At your first lesson, you will be asked to pay for your 1st and 2nd lessons. Thereafter, payment must be made a week in advance. You will meet your teacher at the poolside.
  3. If for any reason you need to cancel a lesson, e.g. illness, please let us know at the earliest opportunity. You can do this by phoning your centre (see below for telephone numbers). Please note that we are unable to offer refunds for cancelled sessions, and that payment for further sessions will need to be made in advance as noted in point 2 above.
  4. Where you know in advance that you are going to miss a session, e.g. due to holidays, you should advise Reception staff at your centre. Note that you will still have to pay for the session. Please ensure also that payment has been made for the date on which your next lesson will take place.
  5. Should your swimming instructor become unavailable for your lesson, e.g. due to illness, we will do our best to arrange another instructor for you. If we are unable to do this, or should any other circumstances arise where K:A Leisure needs to cancel your lesson, we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible. In this instance, your payment for the lesson will be transferred to a future lesson.
  6. If a lesson is not paid for in advance, we will assume that you are not attending and the time slot will be made available to another customer.
  7. Your agreement for your lessons is with K:A Leisure and not with your individual instructor. All communication regarding your lessons should therefore be directed through your leisure centre or through Gillian Mitchell (Sport Development Officer – Aquatics). You should not make any arrangements directly with your swimming instructor.
