Coach and Volunteer Education
KA Leisure offers a wide range of support to local clubs with a busy and vibrant Coach Education programme. There are a wide variety of Coach & volunteer education courses delivered by the KA leisure Sport Development Officers , or where appropriate, sourced and delivered in the north ayrshire area by national governing body tutors for the specific sports.

Education Through Cashback Workshops
The workshops are provided in partnership with Education Through Cashback, (a Scottish Sports Future programme), Active Schools and KA Leisure. The workshops are aimed at people new into sports coaching, sports students, sports/youth leaders or anyone who wants to refresh their understanding of working with young people and encourage personal development through sport.
MODULE 1 - Thursday 4th February 16.00 – 20.00 hrs
COMMUNICATION – A practical module which offers understanding around the use of communication in sport and its applications.
MODULE 2 - Thursday 11th February 16.00 – 20.00 hrs
WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE & SPORT (PART 1)
This module offers an introduction to understanding young people and the role of the coach.
MODULE 3 - Thursday 18th February 16.00 – 20.00 hrs
WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE & SPORT (PART 2)
This module offers an introduction to understanding young people and the role of the coach
MODULE 4 - Thursday 25th February 16.00 – 20.00 hrs
GOAL SETTING – This module focuses on building understanding around the process of setting goals in sports and how these skills can be transferred into everyday life

COST: ALL WORKSHOPS ARE FREE!!! LIMITED SPACES! BOOKING INFORMATION BELOW.
ANY NUMBER OF WORKSHOPS CAN BE ATTENDED. NB - WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE IN SPORT (Both Part 1 & 2 dates must be attended to receive certificate)
